All Fettes Schaf Strandkörbe are fully hand-made and feature solid wood frames that are made from either Teak or Mahogany. All wood used is plantation wood and fully certified as being sourced from legal sources. We are using only the core wood of the logs (also called Grade A wood), which is then kiln dried for at least one month in order to avoid any subsequent cracking. The Teak wood is oiled, while the Mahogany wood is stained dark with three layers of sealer, thus ensuring that the wooden frames are likely to last for "a lifetime".
The fabric used is high quality Sunbrella fabric, which ensures that the colours will not fade in years, even in the harshest of light conditions. The fabric is highly breathable, which ensures a comfortable, non sweating sitting experience even in hotter conditions. Sunbrella fabrics are easy to clean, stain resistant and fully relcyclable.
All Fettes Schaf Strandkörbe come standard with:
- stylish bull eyes;
- hand-carved ornaments on the side panels;
- detachable laptop and bistro tables on both sides;
- low maintenance stainless steel metal fittings;
- extra thick (12 cm) seat cushioning;
- detachable neck and foot pillows;
- a large storage compartment under the seat;
- wheels for ease of movement; and
- a heavy duty Strandkorb cover, which protects the Strandkorb from dust and rain when not in use.
